“INTRODUCING THE $15,000 SOFA”

Any fully upholstered sofa, customized to your choice of style and ergonomic dimensions, to be made and constructed to be worth $15,000 or $150 per linear inch. Not as a result of labels or elevated brand names, but by sheer old-world, by-hand craftsmanship, unsurpassed materials, and a construction method equal to none.

The Rolls-Royce. The Bugatti. The benchmark of sitting. The ultimate best in a class of its own.

After fifty-three years of dedication, I have seen it all and learned from European masters and artisans. By commission of renowned interior design and architectural firms, I have serviced celebrities, castles in Switzerland, Middle Eastern monarchies, and The White House. Rest assured when I tell you that the upholstered product being introduced is the highest expression of what it represents.

The process begins by using maple wood for frame construction; it is harder than oak, cherry, and walnut, making it resistant to nicks and dents on exposed legs and ensuring the sturdiest frame possible. It is assembled using double wooden dowels, not fasteners. Special attention is given to the use of jute webbing for the base; leaving no separation between the straps ensures that when struck, it resonates
like a drum. The platform base is to your seating furniture what a foundation is to a building.

Springs are galvanized to avoid possible future corrosion, particularly in coastal settings. Afterwards, an organic zinc coating is applied to prevent VOCs (volatile organic compounds). When it comes to the hand-tying of the springs, it goes beyond the ever-popular eight-way tie; I apply my signature twelve-way tie, which adheres to the third coil of the springs, thus preventing belly shifting to the sides under excess stress.

Organic wool batting of different thicknesses is implemented for both upholstery and cushioning. Organic wool is naturally flame-resistant, moisture-regulating, breathable, temperature-balancing, resilient and springy, antimicrobial, odor-resistant, naturally resistant to dust mites, and low-allergenic.

Natural latex foam of different densities is used for both upholstery and cushioning. A combination of Talalay and Dunlop is interlaced to achieve optimum performance and cushy comfort, as they do in luxury mattresses.

Ultimately, the furnishings and all cushioning are encased in organic cotton muslin first, before your fabric of choice is applied, providing finished balance so the material lays smoothly and softly with precision and perfection while becoming a lining between your fabric and the wool. This practice requires the upholstery process to be performed twice, but it is entirely worth it.

We are environmentally responsible. No animal materials are used — no real leather, no down, and no horsehair. Every component is selected with respect to sustainability and craftsmanship.

My product is not driven by advertising; it is commissioned by referral and manufactured in limited quantities — between 12 and 15 units annually.

It is not for the many.
It is for the few.
